Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta has exhorted the youth to assume the electronic levy (E-Levy), which is tied to the YouStart task, which promotes youth entrepreneurship and job development.
The E-Levy is a crucial instrument for assuring that we have the funds to invest in entrepreneurship, youth commission, and road infrastructure, as nicely as pay our deficits,” he stated.
Mr Ofori-Atta also declared that the E-Levy would stem the nation from borrowing from the money market, pushing it to battle for cash with the personal sector, a practice known as ‘crowding out the private sector.’
The minister was speaking at the University of Ghana’s Youth School, which was added to the annual New Year School and Conference for 2022.
The university’s School of Continuing and Distance Education is hosting it with the theme “COVID-19 and Ghana’s Socioeconomic Dynamics.”
